About Me

I am an editor and writing consultant with a background in academic research. I am also a committed autodidact with a love for language, a literary scholar, and an award-winning teacher. My goal is to help writers rediscover their own words and ideas through a reader’s eyes, whether they are beginning a new project or submitting final page proofs.

I place a high value on the work of scholarship and the importance of accuracy, transparency, and precision in writing. I hold a PhD in English and Comparative Literature from Columbia University and a BA in English and Classics from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. I have worked with academic writers as a developmental editor, line editor, copyeditor, and proofreader on projects in the humanities (literature, classics, philosophy, cultural history, art history, performance studies, and critical thought) and social sciences (economics, sociology, and criminology).

I also support nonprofit organizations as a content editor and copyeditor. I have worked with organizations on projects to make humanities events accessible to the public, develop interfaith social advocacy programming for middle and high school students, and re-envision wildlife conservation as a contribution to human well-being.
