Writing Consultation
I am an encouraging writing consultant who is enthusiastic about helping writers to plan and manage large-scale projects. I serve as an attentive reader who can help writers articulate the aims, methods, and audience of their work. I also offer feedback and support as writers develop the structure of their writing, sharpen their arguments, and keep track of the big-picture stakes of their projects. I have worked with academic writers on articles, books, and written application materials.
I also work with nonprofit organizations to develop effective written materials for fundraising, communication, education, and other goals.

Copyediting and Proofreading
I edit writing for accuracy, readability, and concision. I have a keen eye for errors and ear for good prose, and I am judicious in my changes and suggestions. I have edited projects in American and British English across a variety of academic fields.
I am experienced in editing for adherence to the style guides used in the humanities and humanistic social sciences, including Chicago, MLA, and Oxford. I also have experience editing articles and book chapters using LaTeX markup.

I have contributed a variety of specialized skills to research projects, including transcribing and translating medieval and Renaissance Latin for multiple academic books.
